KAMPONG KHLEANG SPORTS FACILITY

Chong Prolay is a fishing village located within Kampong Khleang commune on the Tonle Sap - the largest freshwater lake in Cambodia.

Chong Prolay Primary School is the first and only floating school in the village and serves around 100 children. The school children mainly learn basic arithmetic and reading skills but do not currently have access to a playground or recreational sports facility.

In the interest of the school and local community. the Gumball 3000 Foundation has funded the construction of a full-sized floating volleyball court which serves as a dual function as a recreational playground for the local children.

The facility will be attached to Chong Prolay Primary School, which has also been refurbished as part of this project and pupils have received new school uniforms, courtesy of the Gumball 3000 Foundation.
